What to Expect

Know what to expect on your visit to OHBC

Each Sunday we offer three different service times: 8:30am, 10:00am, and 11:00am. The 8:30am service is slightly more traditional in nature, consisting primarily of hymns. The 10:00am service is contemporary in nature and is held in the state-of-the-art auditorium of our new building. The 11:00am service is what we refer to as a “blended” service, meaning that you’ll hear a full band, choir, and praise team leading with songs that are more contemporary in nature along with an occasional hymn.

On Wednesdays we offer a mid-week Bible study for adults, which takes place at 7:00pm in the main auditorium. Wednesday is also a big night for our children and student ministries, where services begin at 6:30pm.

Sunday School/Bible Study

We offer a variety of Sunday School and/or Bible Study options for everyone in the family--children, students, and adults. Adult classes/studies are held during both the 10:00am and 11:00am hours while our student classes/studies (middle school and high school) are held during the 11:00am hour. Children’s classes/studies are held during the 10:00am hour to coincide with their own age-appropriate services (8:30am and 11:00am).

When you walk in our building on a Sunday morning you will find a wide range of dress--everything from jeans and t-shirts to suits and ties. Regardless of how you dress, our desire is that you feel welcome and comfortable.

Parking and Entrance

If you are a first time visitor, we have a designated parking spot just for you located on the left side of the building. While there are several entrances to the building, we strongly encourage you to enter through the main entrance at the front of the building so that we can greet you and allow our guest services team to serve you by pointing you in the right direction.

Children are very important to us at Oak Hill. We know that it’s hard to be engaged and present when you are thinking about your children. While you are worshiping along with other adults on a Sunday morning, your children will also be worshiping and learning about God’s love for them in their own age-appropriate environments. These environments are safe and secure, and every volunteer investing in your child’s life has gone through extensive background checks.

Next Steps

During our services you will be encouraged to fill out one of our Connection cards and turn it in at the guest services table in the lobby at the conclusion of the service. If you choose to fill out this card and turn it in, you will be presented with some additional information about Oak Hill as well as a small gift; this is our way of thanking you for joining us.
