Reaching the hard to reach with the Gospel of Jesus Christ
“To open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of
Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sin and an inheritance among those who
are sanctified by faith in Me.”
Acts 26:18
OUR MISSION
Freeway Ministries-Somerset exists to reach the hard to reach in our community with the hope of the Gospel—one broken life at a time. We meet people where they are by addressing real physical needs while pointing them to lasting spiritual freedom through Jesus Christ. Through weekly Bible studies, worship, and discipleship, Freeway creates a safe place for healing, growth, and transformation. As an extension of the local church, our heart is to see lives changed, addictions broken, and people restored to become followers of Christ who go on to help others find the same hope and freedom.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
- What We Believe
- We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and completely without error (2 Timothy 3:16).
- We believe Jesus Christ was born of a virgin (Matthew 1:18).
- We believe in one God who exists eternally as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—the Trinity (2 Corinthians 13:14).
- We believe Jesus died on the cross as a substitute for our sins (1 Peter 2:24).
- We believe in the physical, bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:3–4).
- We believe Jesus Christ will return again (Acts 1:11).
- We believe all people are sinful and in need of salvation (Romans 3:23).
- We believe salvation is a gift of God, received by faith alone—not by works (Ephesians 2:8–9).
- We believe every believer has eternal life and is secure in Christ (1 John 5:11–13).
- We believe in a literal heaven for those who accept Jesus as Savior and a literal hell for those who reject Him (John 14:1–6; 2 Thessalonians 1:8).
With 11 locations and 16 Discipleship Houses nationwide, Freeway Ministries partners with local churches to bring lasting change to communities—helping individuals break free from addiction, homelessness, and despair
Freeway Ministries focuses on three areas of ministry to do the work of the Great Commission: outreach, evangelism, and discipleship. Each area of ministry enables us to bridge the gap from the recovery community and the unchurched to the local church.

ABOUT US
DIRECTORS: DREW AND CASSIE DELGADO
About five years ago, Drew and Cassie Delgado began to reflect on why their freedom from addiction and spiritual growth looked different from many others in their community—even among those who claimed faith in Christ. They came to realize that the difference was the steady love, accountability, correction, and discipleship they had received through their church family. That realization planted a burden in their hearts to help bridge the gap between the local church and those struggling with addiction—people often considered hard to reach. While they had ideas, passion, and vision, they had no clear understanding of how God would bring it all together.
When Cassie became pregnant with Carson, they assumed God was leading them away from that calling. They focused on raising their children, serving in existing ministries, and advancing their careers. For a season, life seemed settled—but God was still at work.
When Cassie became pregnant with Carson, they assumed God was leading them away from that calling. They focused on raising their children, serving in existing ministries, and advancing their careers. For a season, life seemed settled—but God was still at work.
One day, while shopping at Walmart, Cassie unexpectedly ran into someone familiar with her story and was invited to speak at a local treatment facility. True to her commitment to say yes when God opens a door, she agreed. That simple act of obedience quickly grew into inviting women to church and providing rides on Sunday mornings. In that season, God made it clear that this calling had never gone away.
What began as transportation soon turned into quarterly gatherings, yet Drew and Cassie sensed God was calling them to something deeper—intentional discipleship. Then Alan sent Cassie a link to Freeway Ministries. Sitting in her car, overwhelmed with emotion, she realized that God had already prepared the path. The vision He had placed in her heart was already being lived out. Since then, step by step, God has been bringing this ministry to life at Oak Hill Baptist Church and throughout the Somerset community.
