Why we give.

God is generous and so he calls us to be as well.  What we do with what God has given us shows the world where our hearts are at and helps proclaim the gospel. We want to glorify God with every area of our lives, and that includes what we do with our finances.

Online Giving FAQs

What is online giving?

Online giving is an automatic transfer program which allows you to make contributions without writing checks. This can be done from any device with internet connectivity at anytime.

Is online giving safe?

Online giving involves less risk than a check contribution. It cannot be lost, stolen or destroyed in the mail, and is not physically handled by as many people during processing

What if I forget my username and/or password?

If you forget your password, click on the “Forgot password” link and your password will be emailed to the address on file. If you have forgotten your username, email E-Giving, our online giving platform, at egiving@envelopeservice.com.

How does online giving actually work?

You may give via credit or debit card, or by linking your checking or savings account to your profile. Once you authorize the transfer, your specified contributions can be taken out once or on a reoccurring basis. Contributions are transferred directly from your checking or savings account to the organization’s account.

When will my contribution be deducted from my account?

Your contribution will be debited from your account on the first business day. If your donation is scheduled on a Sunday, your donation will not be processed until the following business day. Credit or debit cards will take approximately two business days to initiate and clear. Transactions made with checking or savings accounts may take up to four business days to initiate and clear.

What if I change bank accounts or credit/debit cards?

If you change bank accounts or credit/debit cards, you can update necessary information after logging in to your account. From your account, you have the ability to change your personal information, payment information, and edit any giving schedules. In the event that you need to change information, do not create a new account; always edit your existing account.

Will I receive a contribution statement for tax purposes for online contributions?

Yes. You will receive a statement from OHBC with all your donation information (both online and in-person). You may also print out a statement from the E-Giving portal for all transactions that were made online through the E-Giving platform.

What if I prefer to give on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis?

You can choose the frequency of your contributions when completing your info on the site. You also have the option to have your automatic deductions run for only a specified period of time.
