Core Beliefs
The following are the core beliefs of Oak Hill Baptist Church - KY based on the foundational truths taught in the bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.
God
We believe that there is only one God and that He exists in three divinely equal yet distinct persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Jesus
We believe that Jesus is the eternal Son of the living God, born of a virgin, and that He is both fully God and fully human. We believe He died on the cross as a substitute to pay the penalty for sin, that He physically rose from the grave and ascended into heaven, and that He will one day physically return.
Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is equal with God the Father and God the Son and that He seals, guides, teaches, witnesses, sanctifies and helps the believer.
Bible
We believe that the Bible is the supernaturally inspired Word of God; therefore, we believe Scripture is authoritative, sufficient, and without error.
We believe that salvation is the free gift of God made possible only through repentance from sin and faith in the person and work of Jesus Christ.
Baptism
We believe that baptism is the immersion in water of a believer as a public expression of faith in Jesus Christ. Click here if you would like to be part of our next Baptism service.
