OHBC kids
One of the greatest opportunities we have in life is to raise our children to know, love, and follow Jesus. Our goal at OHBC Kids is to provide a place where your child will learn about God’s love for them and the importance of developing a lifelong relationship of obedience to him. Our goal each and every week is to partner with you as a parent to ensure your child grows in his or her relationship with God and others.
We consider it a privilege to invest in the life of your child and we do not take this responsibility lightly. All of our children's workers have gone through a ministry assessment process that includes extensive background checks. The spiritual and physical well-being of your child are our highest priorities!

Nursery
BIRTH THROUGH TWO YEARS OLD
In the OHBC Kids nursery, children begin learning about God’s love for them in a clean, safe, and nurturing environment. This environment is created and intentionally designed to lay the foundation of God’s love for your child throughout his or her earliest years.
Your children will learn through the use of their own senses by listening to adults read them stories from the Bible, hearing Bible songs and lullabies, interacting with other children their own age, and exploring developmentally appropriate toys that help develop their basic motor skills.
OHBC Kids nursery is available during every regularly scheduled worship service.

Preschool
THREE YEARS OLD THROUGH KINDERGARTEN
Preschool age children are constantly moving, touching, and investigating. They learn through experiences, imitation, and repetition. Because children’s moral development begins to form at the age of two, we implement more intentional Bible teaching and learning during this time. The preschool ministry utilizes animated videos, interactive activities, games, crafts, and songs to help the children understand and apply the Bible lessons.
The OHBC Kids preschool ministry meets during every weekend worship service.

Elementary
FIRST THROUGH FIFTH GRADE
Every weekend the elementary ministry utilizes many different teaching methods: live action videos and performances, object lessons, small group lessons, music, and more! All of this is done in an age-appropriate environment to teach children about God’s love for them and how God desires for them to live in response to His love.

Awana Clubs
THREE YEARS OLD THROUGH FIFTH GRADE (Wednesday Nights)
The name “Awana” comes from the first letters of the phrase “approved workmen are not ashamed” (2 Timothy 2:15). Awana is a Bible-based program that helps parents and churches raise children to know, love, and follow Jesus through the spiritual discipline of Scripture memorization.
Awana Clubs are held on Wednesday nights during the school year from 6:30-8:00pm. During Awana Clubs you can expect your child to work with trained leaders to memorize and understand key Bible verses that teach children the importance of knowing and following God. Students also gather each week for large group teaching and a time of play and recreation.
